Family Service

What is it?

The Family Service is an opportunity for the whole family to come together to worship and to offer praise to God, and there is a strong emphasis on singing, led by our praise band.

The service is also the main preaching and teaching service for the church, with a focus on what God has to say to us through His word, the Bible. Each week, we aim to deepen the spiritual lives of those who are Christians and to challenge those who are not Christians with the claims of the Christian faith. We also seek to consider and pray for items of local, national and international concern.

The first part of the service is geared for school age children, who then leave for Sunday School.

During the service, there is a Creche available for babies and very young children. Sunbeams, catering for pre-school children, also runs at the same time.

Tea and coffee are available in the Hub prior to the start of the Service.

When is it on?

Every Sunday throughout the year between 11:25am and 12:45pm in the Main Sanctuary.

Note: From 8th January 2012, the Family Service will start at 11:00am.

On some Sundays (usually Bank Holiday weekends), the Family Service is combined with the Worship and Communion Service - details of these are advertised in advance.
