Our Pastoral Team

Alan Donald (Pastor)

Alan Donald became our Pastor in August 2006.

Alan comes originally from Invergordon and trained as an industrial chemist before entering the ministry.  He worked in a number of industries including British Aluminium, the oil industry and with Scottish Hydro at their power station in Peterhead. He became a Christian through reading the Bible at home and was baptised in Peterhead Baptist Church in 1988.

He felt called soon after to serve the Lord as a pastor, trained at the Scottish Baptist College in 1991 and was called to be pastor of Denny Baptist Church in 1995.  In 2000 he became the chaplain at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. He was involved in preaching and teaching at Woodhill for around 5 years prior to becoming Pastor.

Alan is married to Nina and they have three sons (Grant, Aaron and Robert).

Lynn Wood (Women's Pastoral Worker)

Lynn left a 31 year career in Nursing at the end of 2018, where she worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology.

She felt God calling her to serve Him on a full time basis to support and encourage women going through difficult times, as well as to share her faith with women who come around the Church.

Lynn has attended Woodhill Evangelical Church from the age of 5 with her family. She became a Christian when she was 10 years old and was baptised at the age of 15. Lynn has served at Woodhill Evangelical Church for the last 30 years in Children’s work, Youth work, and Hospital Party visitation. She is married to Peter and they have two children - Ryan and Poppy.

She is currently a joint Life Group leader with Peter, part of the worship team and serves in the evenings at The Hub.
